Position: Financial Controller in Hunan or Shaanxi province
Report to: VP Finance and Accounting (Corporate HQ) or Corporate Financial Controller
Location: This position will be based in Hunan or Shaanxi province

An international retailing group with substantial investment in acquiring rapidly growing local companies and integrate them into a large arm in China. We are in a continuous effort to strengthen our Finance team within China.
Job Description
n Oversee all financial functions activities (including statutory reporting, management account reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analyses) either at an individual business unit level or province level;
n Provide HQ with monthly IFRS general ledger adjustments to produce management accounts per IFRS;
n Lead the effort to introduce new systems, controls, and processes in order to achieve significant improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of the China finance team;
n Ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of all financial information;
n Assist in the development of the company’s accounting policies and procedures and ensure consistent applications of these policies and procedures.
n Ensure compliance with local reporting requirements;
n Provide input to senior executives at the company level and province level on business planning, strategic and operational matters, including the performance of relevant and appropriate financial analyses for business decisions;
n Handle local tax matters, if needed;
Ideal Candidate Profile
n Professional qualification(s) in Accounting, Finance, and/or Business Administration (i.e. Bachelor in Accounting / Finance, MBA in Finance, CPA, ..etc.);
n At least 10 years of working experience, including a management role in the function of a multinational corporation operating in China, preferably in large retail chain stores (like Wal Mart or Carrefour);
n Exposure to the development of scorecard and KPIs for the business will be an asset;
n In-depth understanding of business environment and culture in China, and familiar with PRC GAAP;
n Strong analytical skills and commercial sense to support business managers in Shaanxi province;
n Proficient in using Excel and User Friendly, and possess financial modeling skills;
n Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
n Superb Excel and financial modeling skills;
n Strong ability in English is certainly preferred;
n Impeccable sense of integrity that can be referenced.
